What is BST?
BST is a self-evaluation process made up of three elements to enable schools to evaluate their own progress. It includes an:
- Editable template linked to current self-evaluation frameworks
- Accompanying digital handbook
- Online audit and subsequent report
It will complement current monitoring and evaluation processes. It will enable school leaders to distil evidence about provision and see how well it matches up to stated ambition.
There is is a document template with an accompanying handbook that enables a school to articulate its ambition for pupils and identify clear processes that will bring this from vision to reality. It aligns to current self-evaluation processes in England and can be applied internationally.
The third element is an online self-evaluation audit tool which produces a digital report based on the way the school scores itself from 1 to 5 for each statement in the template. -
What makes BST unique?
The success of BST is in its simplicity. BST focuses firmly on building a strong sense of ambition into school self-evaluation.
It is clearly structured to capture maximum information with minimal additional work. It aligns perfectly to existing school self-evaluation frameworks.

How much does it cost?
BST is available via annual subscription. There are two versions with different feature sets. There are versions tailored for Primary and for Secondary/All Through.
Groups of schools will need to purchase copies for each school. Discounts are available. Contact us for more information.

What support do you offer?
BST comes with a digital handbook which takes you through the process. There will also be an accompanying video and forum support.

If we edit or add a statement in one of the sections in the Template will the Online Audit adjust automatically?
Currently, no. The Template and the Online Audit are physically separate resources even though the comments are identical. Watch this place…

What other resources are you working on?
BST is in its first iteration and will inevitably be refined and enhanced as users request more features.
It is part of a growing portfolio of resources for school leaders. Watch this space for more announcements shortly about a leadership community and more cloud based resources. -
Are we allowed to share BST once we have bought it?
When you purchase BST you are allowed to distribute copies of it within your own school.
You can also upload it to your school instance of Office365 and make it shareable amongst your staff- via OneDrive, Sharepoint or Teams. If you are a Google school, you are permitted to convert it into a Google Doc in Google Drive for collaborative online editing.
We would actively encourage cloud based collaboration and involvement of all staff in the self-evaluation process.You are not allowed to distribute any of the resources you have purchased to schools who have not bought directly from schoolweave.net.
